SEO Specialist – Own the Growth of a Wellness Brand

About the role

We are looking for an SEO Specialist to take full ownership of our WooCommerce wellness store, managing the site and driving growth through search. You will be responsible for website health, SEO strategy, execution, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day management of the WooCommerce site, including product listings, plugin/theme updates and site health monitoring.
• Troubleshoot website issues such as broken pages, checkout problems, plugin conflicts and performance drops.
• Develop and execute on‑page, off‑page and technical SEO strategies.
• Conduct keyword research and optimise product and blog content.
• Monitor performance using Google Search Console, GA4 and other SEO tools.
• Identify and fix technical SEO issues like page speed, mobile responsiveness and crawl errors.
• Create and optimise blog posts and product page copy for search visibility.
• Perform competitor analysis on keywords, backlinks and content gaps.
• Manage local SEO, including the Google Business Profile.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of hands‑on SEO experience with measurable results.
• Experience maintaining a WooCommerce/WordPress site.
• Ability to work independently and own outcomes.
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, GA4 and at least one of Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz or Ubersuggest.
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge and comfort navigating WordPress admin.
• Strong analytical skills to turn data into action.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to work on‑site at our Nugegoda office.
