SEO & GEO Specialist – Global eCommerce

About the role

We are looking for an SEO & GEO Specialist to grow organic and AI search visibility across a global e‑commerce portfolio of over 50,000 products and multiple stores. This hands‑on role combines technical SEO, e‑commerce SEO, content optimisation, and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). You will develop strategies, run audits, implement improvements, analyse performance, and collaborate with the CEO, developers, content and sales teams to drive measurable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SEO and GEO strategies across multiple e‑commerce websites, brands and markets.
• Conduct keyword research, search‑intent analysis, competitor, content and backlink analysis.
• Manage technical SEO including crawling, indexing, site architecture, internal linking, schema, canonicalisation, redirects and page performance.
• Optimise content based on search intent, topical authority and entity optimisation.
• Improve visibility on Google and AI‑powered search platforms through GEO and AEO tactics.
• Monitor organic rankings, traffic, conversions, AI visibility, citations and competitor presence.
• Identify SEO issues and opportunities, prioritise actions and work with developers to implement solutions.

Required profile

• 2+ years of hands‑on SEO or digital marketing experience.
• Strong experience across technical SEO, on‑page SEO, content SEO, keyword research and backlink analysis.
• Experience managing SEO for e‑commerce sites is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush/Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Looker Studio and AI tools.
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and e‑commerce/CMS platforms such as Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce or nopCommerce.
• Understanding of structured data, semantic search, topical authority, entities, E‑E‑A‑T and international SEO.
• Practical knowledge of GEO, AEO, AI Search and generative search platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini).
