Senior Videographer & Editor

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Senior Videographer & Editor position is based in Colombo. You will plan, shoot, and edit video content for digital campaigns, brand stories and marketing assets, delivering high‑quality productions that align with client objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑production planning, including storyboarding, location scouting and equipment selection.
• Set up cameras, lighting and audio gear for studio and location shoots, and direct on‑set activities.
• Capture footage and manage post‑production workflows such as editing, colour correction and sound integration.
• Edit and assemble raw footage into final cuts that meet brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with creative, strategy and marketing teams to translate briefs into engaging visual content.
• Maintain production equipment, organise media files and contribute to continuous improvement of visual standards.
• Ensure timely delivery of assets and manage version control.

Required profile

• Strong video production expertise covering planning, shooting and post‑production.
• Proven experience with diverse camera systems and lighting setups for studio and field work.
• Background in digital media, advertising or performance‑marketing environments, preferably agency or production house.
• Strong storytelling ability with an eye for composition, pacing and visual detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Camera operation and lighting setup.
• Colour grading, sound design and basic motion graphics.
• Motion graphics using After Effects.
• Audio editing with Audacity or similar tools.
