Senior Tax Manager

About the role

KLOUDAC is establishing a dedicated quality and technical excellence function in Colombo to strengthen tax‑ready accounting and defensible compliance for UAE VAT and Corporate Tax. The Senior Tax Manager will independently review client accounting records, tax schedules and filing packs to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review accounting records to confirm proper classification, documentation and reconciliation for UAE VAT and Corporate Tax reporting.
• Independently assess VAT and Corporate Tax computation packs, reconciliations and supporting schedules before internal clearance.
• Reconcile revenue, output VAT, input VAT, reverse‑charge transactions and VAT control accounts to the general ledger and filed returns.
• Evaluate tax adjustments, non‑deductible expenditure, exempt income, tax losses and related‑party transactions.
• Develop and maintain tax‑readiness checklists, review programmes, reconciliation formats and internal quality gates.
• Maintain a consolidated tax‑risk register and monitor filing readiness before statutory deadlines.
• Conduct periodic file‑quality reviews and technical training for VAT, Corporate Tax and accounting teams in Dubai and Sri Lanka.
• Coordinate with the Financial Reporting Controller to ensure tax balances and disclosures align with financial statements.

Required profile

• Full or advanced professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, ACA, CPA, CTA or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive tax, accounting, audit or assurance experience with substantial review responsibility.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on UAE VAT experience (strongly preferred) and practical UAE Corporate Tax experience (required).
• Experience in an accounting, tax advisory, audit or professional‑services firm is strongly preferred.
