Senior Tax Accountant – Remote (Australia)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our boutique Australian accounting firm on a remote basis from Sri Lanka. The role offers flexible hours, competitive pay per job, and a pathway to a permanent full‑time position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate, trust and partnership tax returns, including FBT, CGT, Div 7A, PSI and depreciation schedules.
• Manage BAS, GST, PAYG and company tax compliance, and provide clear tax and financial advice.
• Conduct financial analysis, forecasting and reporting for Australian SMEs.
• Collaborate closely with the Australian manager and team to deliver accurate work on time.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in Australian public practice accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax law, AASB standards and complex tax work for companies, trusts and partnerships.
• Excellent written and spoken English, high attention to detail and reliable professional habits.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero, Excel, MYOB, QuickBooks and other tax software.
• Experience with FYI Docs or similar document management systems.
