Senior Systems Engineer – MSP Tooling & Compliance

About the role

The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of tooling that supports our Managed Service Provider (MSP) operations. Based in Colombo, you will ensure systems are secure, compliant and continuously improved to meet both internal and client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain MSP tooling and infrastructure, ensuring performance, reliability and compliance.
• Proactively administer and monitor servers, networks and cloud services, resolving complex technical issues.
• Identify improvement opportunities across open work and client systems, own the remediation process and verify completion.
• Document configurations, processes and compliance evidence, collaborating with stakeholders to align with business and regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, security hardening and best‑practice adoption across the Centre of Excellence.

Required profile

• Strong systems engineering and design experience, preferably in MSP or IT‑services environments.
• Extensive system administration expertise for servers, networks, cloud platforms and configuration management.
• Advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills for internal and client environments.
• Solid understanding of compliance frameworks, security best practices and documentation standards.
• Relevant degree (Computer Science, IT or related) and industry certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Linux, security/compliance).
