Senior Supply Chain Manager – Automotive

About the role

Abans Auto is seeking a senior leader to drive end‑to‑end supply chain excellence across its automotive portfolio. The role will shape strategy, optimise costs and ensure reliable delivery of vehicles, parts and components throughout Sri Lanka.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for procurement, planning, logistics, warehousing, inventory management and distribution.
• Develop and execute cost‑optimising supply chain strategies that boost efficiency, resilience and overall business performance.
• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and OEM partnerships for timely, cost‑effective procurement.
• Direct inventory management, demand forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to protect working capital and maintain high service levels.
• Ensure On‑Time‑In‑Full (OTIF) delivery across dealer and distribution networks.
• Champion digital transformation by implementing and optimising ERP systems and data‑driven decision‑making tools.
• Drive continuous‑improvement, lean initiatives and process optimisation across the supply chain.
• Build and mentor high‑performing supply chain teams, fostering accountability and continuous learning.
• Establish governance, performance metrics and risk‑management practices for resilience and compliance.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Business Management or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• 10‑15 years of supply chain experience, preferably in the automotive or automotive‑components sector.
• At least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Exposure to automotive manufacturing, assembly operations and a broad supplier ecosystem.
