Senior Software Engineer – .NET, React & Azure

About the role

Growth Prof is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver modern, cloud‑first applications for the Australian tax industry. You will work with .NET, ASP.NET Core, React and Azure to build secure, scalable solutions from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality applications using C#.NET 8, ASP.NET Core and React.
• Create secure, scalable RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and Azure cloud components.
• Work with Azure Functions, API Management, Redis Cache, SignalR and Azure AD B2C / Microsoft Entra External ID.
• Develop data‑access layers with Entity Framework Core and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Apply Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, design patterns and best engineering practices.
• Write automated tests and maintain strong code coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and improve application performance, reliability and security.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with .NET.
• Strong proficiency in C#.NET 8 and ASP.NET Core.
• Solid experience building RESTful APIs and using Entity Framework Core.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, query optimisation and database design.
• Extensive experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend tooling.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services such as Functions, API Management, Redis, SignalR and Azure AD B2C.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑native development practices.
