Senior Security Engineer

About the role

Join a global leader in financial markets technology and help drive security excellence across the organisation. As a Senior Security Engineer you will work within a 24/7 cyber security support team, providing Level 2 expertise for a wide range of security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a rotational 24/7 support shift and act as the main point of contact during major incidents.
• Provide Level 2 support for BeyondTrust PAM, CyberArk PAM, CrowdStrike, CyberArk EPM, Vormetric, Qualys, Varonis, McAfee ePO, ENS and ENSSP.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system upgrades, patch installations and configuration changes.
• Handle ServiceNow tickets (Incident, Change, Problem), conduct root‑cause analysis and resolve issues within SLA.
• Assist in planning and executing cyber‑security projects, migrations and enhancements.
• Collaborate with IT disciplines and external partners to ensure secure configurations.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, focusing on process simplification and automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior cyber‑security support role, preferably within a 24/7 environment.
• Strong knowledge of privileged access management and endpoint protection solutions.
• Ability to manage major incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and drive resolutions.
• Experience with project delivery methodologies and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Commitment to staying current with industry trends and pursuing relevant certifications.
