Senior Project Engineer – M365, Network & Backup

About the role

We are looking for a senior, hands‑on Project Engineer to lead managed backup operations and deliver technical projects across backup, infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity and compliance. The role is hybrid and ideal for an experienced MSP engineer who can own technical work, manage escalations and drive automation.

Key responsibilities

• Support Veeam backup environments and ensure reliable restore testing.
• Deliver Microsoft 365 security, compliance and identity uplift projects, including Essential Eight initiatives.
• Manage infrastructure, endpoint and disaster‑recovery projects for client environments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) to resolve recurring issues.
• Create and improve monitoring, escalation and documentation workflows.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in an MSP, IT service provider or similar project engineering setting.
• Strong Veeam expertise and ability to discuss backup solutions with technical stakeholders.
• Extensive Microsoft 365 administration experience covering security, compliance and identity.
• Experience with Essential Eight or comparable cybersecurity frameworks.
• Solid understanding of hypervisors, virtualization, Windows infrastructure and disaster recovery.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage risk‑focused rollbacks.
