Senior Program Manager, GRIT Project

About the role

The Senior Program Manager (SPM) leads the regional implementation of the GRIT Project in Sri Lanka, ensuring effective service delivery to participants and bridging activities between the Northern Province and Colombo. Reporting to the Project Director, the SPM manages stakeholder relationships and oversees project operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the regional programme and operational delivery of GRIT services, including incubation and acceleration support.
• Manage relationships with local government, partners, civil society, and private‑sector actors.
• Coordinate travel and field activities across the Northern Province and Colombo.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Supervise project staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience in program or project management, preferably in international development or gender‑responsive entrepreneurship.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders in Sri Lanka or similar contexts.
• Strong communication skills in English; local language proficiency is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
