Senior Manager - Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Procurement to lead both General and IT Procurement functions for a leading bank. The role will shape procurement strategy, drive strategic sourcing, and ensure cost‑effective acquisition of technology and services while maintaining strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead General and IT Procurement activities in line with bank policies, business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies, plans and processes to achieve value for money and robust governance.
• Manage end‑to‑end tendering and RFP processes, including requirement gathering, vendor evaluation and commercial assessment.
• Lead vendor selection, contract negotiations and supplier performance management.
• Oversee procurement of IT hardware, software, licenses, solutions, infrastructure and related services.
• Manage the full IT asset lifecycle – inventory, utilization, redeployment, renewal and disposal.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities, process improvements and digitalisation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with policies, financial authority limits, regulatory standards and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with IT, CISO, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Engineering, Operations and business stakeholders.
• Lead, coach and develop the procurement team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of procurement, sourcing or purchasing experience.
• At least 5 years in a managerial procurement role with exposure to both general and IT procurement.
• Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.
• Proven track record in contract negotiation, RFP management, vendor management and IT asset lifecycle management.
