Senior Manager, Financial Control

About the role

The Senior Manager, Financial Control will report to the Financial Controller for FTSE Russell and lead the revenue and partner‑share financial control function. Based in a global environment with a team in Sri Lanka, the role focuses on IFRS‑compliant revenue accounting, month‑end close, and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of revenue accountants and collaborate with Billing, Financial Accounting, Credit Control and other global teams.
• Ensure accurate month‑end close for FTSE Russell legal entities, complying with internal and external reporting standards.
• Produce monthly revenue variance analysis and commentary for finance and business stakeholders.
• Prepare quarterly IFRS 9 provisioning by legal entity.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners and SAM Finance on exit‑rate reporting, budget monitoring and performance analysis.
• Drive standardisation, automation and process improvements across financial control processes.
• Support ad‑hoc projects such as Oracle system implementations and new business initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, managing audit requests and relationships.

Required profile

• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) with at least 8 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Strong background in revenue accounting under IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 ECL.
• Extensive experience in financial control and best‑practice processes.
• Proven people‑leadership skills in a matrix organisation.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication abilities.
