Senior Infrastructure Service Desk Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Service Desk Engineer to support and maintain core infrastructure platforms for a diverse managed services customer base. The role involves working across on‑premises and hybrid environments, covering servers, virtualization, networking, storage, backup and Microsoft 365.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced support for on‑premises and hybrid customer infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Server services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS and file/print.
• Support Microsoft Exchange (on‑premises and online) and Microsoft 365 services.
• Provision, monitor and troubleshoot virtual servers on VMware, Hyper‑V and other hypervisors.
• Perform OS administration tasks such as patching, performance tuning and capacity management.
• Support Linux servers in mixed environments.
• Manage backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Cove).
• Maintain networking components including TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, switching and routing.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation and administration.
• Participate in incident resolution, service improvement and documentation following ITIL processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering or senior service desk experience, preferably within an MSP.
• Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and related services.
• Proven knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Experience supporting backup platforms and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration and basic Azure hybrid concepts.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent; relevant certifications (Microsoft, ITIL) are a plus.
