Senior Information Security Engineer - Product & Customer Org

About the role

IFS, a global enterprise software company, is hiring a Senior Information Security Engineer for its Product and Customer organization in Colombo. The role covers monitoring the cloud security posture, investigating security incidents and advising on threats and vulnerabilities, with a focus on embedding AI security practices within the Cloud SOC team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the cloud security state and analyze real-time events, triaging incidents by severity
• Gather data needed to investigate information security incidents
• Identify and support improvements to information security gaps
• Administer and maintain security operations tools and services
• Perform threat identification, modeling and management, and develop use cases for containment and mitigation
• Provide security advice on threats and vulnerabilities
• Inculcate AI security practices within the Cloud SOC team
• Improve departmental processes, procedures, training and documentation
• Create or improve internal dashboards, reports and metrics

Required profile

• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science or Information Technology
• 3+ years of experience in security operations or information security
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and senior leadership

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of information security and security operations
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services
• Desirable: SIEM, XDR, cloud security threats, MITRE framework, and cloud provider experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Desirable: CEH, ECSA, Security+, ITIL, and knowledge of AI security concepts
