Senior Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are a leading recruitment firm in Sri Lanka partnering with a well‑established consumer‑services organisation. As the business expands, they need a dynamic Senior Human Resources Manager to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, organisational development and people initiatives.
• Lead full‑cycle HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits and HR administration.
• Drive talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high‑calibre talent across functions.
• Design succession planning and talent management frameworks to build a strong leadership pipeline.
• Strengthen employee engagement, organisational culture and internal communication initiatives.
• Oversee performance management processes and ensure effective implementation.
• Identify learning and development needs and deliver capability‑building programmes.
• Review and enhance HR policies, procedures and systems in line with best practices and legal requirements.
• Provide HR analytics and insights to support data‑driven decisions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the HR team to deliver a high‑performance service.
• Support restructuring, change management and other strategic people projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Human Resources, Business Management or a related field.
• 8+ years progressive HR experience with senior leadership responsibility.
• Experience in consumer services, retail, hospitality, FMCG or other customer‑centric environments is advantageous.
• Proven expertise in strategic HR partnering, talent management, employee engagement and organisational development.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to align people strategies to business outcomes.
• Proactive, solutions‑oriented and hands‑on approach to HR leadership.
