Senior HR Executive

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Senior HR Executive to oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensuring accurate payroll, EPF/ETF administration and compliance with Sri Lankan labour legislation. The role supports employees across the organisation while maintaining confidentiality and high organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage HR administrative activities, maintain employee records and prepare HR letters such as appointments, promotions and resignation acceptances.
• Coordinate attendance, leave, overtime and payroll processing; calculate statutory deductions and respond to payroll queries.
• Process monthly EPF and ETF contributions, submit statutory returns and reconcile records.
• Act as first point of contact for employee relations, handle grievances, disciplinary actions and promote a positive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labour laws, support disciplinary inquiries, update policies and assist during labour inspections and audits.
• Generate monthly HR reports, maintain accurate databases and support internal and external HR audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in HR operations, payroll, EPF/ETF administration and employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan labour legislation and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with HRIS or payroll software (preferred).
