Senior Full Stack AI Engineer

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack AI Engineer to join their engineering team and build, scale, and maintain critical product features across backend services, frontend applications, AI integrations, and cloud infrastructure. This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who can take ownership of end‑to‑end product development, from translating requirements into production‑ready solutions to integrating Generative AI capabilities and ensuring reliable CI/CD and cloud deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, type‑safe backend services and APIs using Node.js, NestJS/Fastify, and TypeScript.
• Build modern, responsive web applications with React, Next.js, TypeScript, TanStack Query, and TailwindCSS.
• Develop and integrate LLM and Generative AI capabilities, including prompting workflows, semantic search, RAG, and agentic flows.
• Create and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, E2E) using Playwright, Vitest, and Jest.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and support safe deployments on AWS ECS Fargate, ECR, and CloudFront.
• Manage containerized applications with Docker and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Work with PostgreSQL and Redis for data storage, caching, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Implement secure coding practices, data residency compliance, and multi‑region tenant isolation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong experience with Node.js, NestJS/Fastify, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Hands‑on experience integrating LLM/Generative AI APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) into production.
• Extensive work with PostgreSQL (schema design, migrations, performance tuning) and Redis.
• Practical experience deploying containerized applications on AWS and using Terraform.
• Experience building and maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Playwright, Vitest, Jest for testing.
• Understanding of event‑driven architecture, asynchronous processing, and AWS SQS.
• Background in scheduling/booking, POS, payments, or similar transactional domains.
