Senior Finance Manager – Treasury, Accounts Payable & Credit Control

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, commercially‑driven Senior Finance Manager to lead Treasury, Accounts Payable and Credit Control for a well‑established manufacturing organisation in Colombo. This senior leadership role will strengthen financial controls, optimise working capital and drive operational excellence across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Treasury, Accounts Payable and Credit Control functions, ensuring efficient and well‑controlled operations.
• Manage daily cash flow, liquidity planning, banking relationships and treasury activities.
• Develop and monitor short‑term and long‑term cash‑flow forecasts and optimise fund utilisation.
• Oversee the full Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant processing of supplier invoices and payments.
• Establish strong controls over vendor reconciliations, payment schedules and outstanding liabilities.
• Lead Credit Control and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely collections and effective management of customer credit exposure.
• Monitor debtor ageing, overdue balances, credit limits and collection performance.
• Develop strategies to improve working capital and cash conversion while minimising financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory requirements and accounting standards.
• Prepare and present financial, treasury, cash‑flow, working‑capital and credit‑related reports to senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process automation, digitalisation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations to resolve financial and working‑capital matters.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Fully qualified CA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience with significant exposure to Treasury, Accounts Payable, Credit Control and working‑capital management.
• Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or large‑scale business environment is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record in cash‑flow management, banking operations, credit management and financial controls.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
