Senior Finance Executive – CIMA Qualified

About the role

Abans PLC is seeking a Senior Finance Executive to support financial decision‑making across its extensive consumer durables business in Sri Lanka. The role involves analysing financial performance, reviewing profit and loss statements, and delivering actionable insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse P&L statements, budgets, forecasts and other financial reports to assess business performance.
• Identify key trends, variances, risks and areas requiring attention.
• Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to support decision‑making.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets and investigate significant variances.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and business performance analysis.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to understand financial performance and operational drivers.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and reports.

Required profile

• CIMA qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, management accounting, financial analysis or a similar role.
• Strong ability to read, interpret and analyse P&L statements and financial reports.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial reporting tools.
