Senior Executive - Factory Supply Chain

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Factory Supply Chain, the Senior Executive ensures timely availability and effective management of contract labour at Nestlé’s Kurunegala factory, while maintaining compliance, cost efficiency and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate contract labour requirements with production planners and service providers.
• Forecast, allocate and monitor labour needs to ensure workforce availability across shifts.
• Manage labour availability, shortages and turnover to support uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, working hours, safety and labour practices.
• Oversee PPE, uniforms and workforce readiness to maintain operational continuity.
• Validate supplier invoices, supporting documents and payments for financial compliance.
• Lead compliance reviews, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop skilled labour, business continuity plans and supply‑chain projects to enhance performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Production, Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in supply chain or food‑manufacturing environment.
• Experience in production, planning or supply‑chain operations; exposure to lean practices and contract‑labour management is an advantage.
• Fluency in English and Sinhala.
