Senior DevOps Engineer – Yard Management System

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Kaleris you will be responsible for the deployment, scalability and reliability of a mission‑critical Yard Management System that supports global supply‑chain operations. You will work closely with development, cloud operations and product teams to design, build and support robust cloud‑native solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design, deploy and maintain highly available, multi‑region, multi‑AZ applications on AWS and Azure.
• Architect and implement robust Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies across cloud platforms.
• Build automation for deployment, monitoring and self‑healing to minimise downtime and proactively resolve issues.
• Ensure security best practices are embedded into all cloud solutions, including network security, encryption and compliance.
• Optimize system performance, scalability and cost efficiency through configuration tuning and infrastructure as code.
• Design and implement integrations between customer TMS/WMS platforms and Kaleris YMS using APIs, messaging services and secure data flows.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive continuous improvement in reliability and operational excellence.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with cloud architecture on AWS and Azure (EKS, AKS, EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Azure VMs).
• Strong expertise in DevOps practices and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Spacelift, ArgoCD, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery architectures in AWS and Azure.
• Strong PostgreSQL DBA skills, including performance tuning, high availability and replication.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell; Ruby/Ruby on Rails a plus).
• Solid experience with Linux and Windows environments.
• In‑depth knowledge of web technologies: Unicorn, Nginx, load balancing and caching (Memcached/Redis).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; fluent in English.
