Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

About the role

Progress Partners is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join its Galle office. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and automation pipelines for next‑generation SaaS products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) repositories.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability and performance.
• Implement cloud security best practices.
• Automate operational processes using Bash or Python.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to streamline deployments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Strong Linux administration skills.
• Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
