About the role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join Gallagher’s Sri Lanka team. In this role you will design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouse solutions that power our risk‑management analytics and client‑facing tools.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Build and optimise Snowflake‑based data warehouse structures and data models for high performance.
- Troubleshoot data quality and performance issues and respond to user queries.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure data governance, security and GDPR compliance across all data assets.
Required profile
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and strong SQL coding skills.
- Extensive experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development and data warehousing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry.
