Senior Cloud Solutions Architect

About the role

The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect will lead the Cloud Engineering team in a senior techno‑commercial capacity. You will be responsible for delivering, operating and modernising public, hybrid and private cloud infrastructures across AWS, Azure and on‑premises environments, with a strong focus on automation and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Cloud Engineering team, fostering a culture of automation and AI‑driven operations.
• Own end‑to‑end cloud migration and modernisation projects, from planning through execution.
• Design and implement public (AWS, Azure), hybrid and private cloud infrastructures.
• Build modern platforms using Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Ensure customer environments remain stable, resolving issues quickly and meeting service commitments.
• Replace manual processes with automation and AI to boost speed, quality and reliability.
• Continuously improve reliability, security and cost‑efficiency, applying FinOps principles.
• Support the sales team on bids and proposals to grow managed services.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers and partners for complex technical challenges.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• 12+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 5+ years in cloud and 3+ years leading teams.
• Proven track record of large‑scale cloud migration and modernisation projects.
• Hands‑on experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure), hybrid and private cloud, and on‑premises virtualization.
• Strong background in Kubernetes, CI/CD, DevOps and platform engineering.
• Good understanding of AI applications in infrastructure operations.
• Automation‑first mindset with experience using modern automation tools.
• FinOps mindset focused on managing and optimising cloud costs.
