Senior Analyst – Financial & Regulatory Reporting

About the role

The Senior Analyst will own and present financial, regulatory and management reporting for the Finance division, delivering accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders across Sri Lanka. The role also drives performance analysis, cost control, risk mitigation and supports strategic decision‑making for the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all payment‑related activities, account clearing and internal reconciliations.
• Prepare and file accurate financial, management and regulatory reports, including statutory returns.
• Ensure compliance with directives from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and other regulators.
• Respond to ad‑hoc regulator requests and surveys promptly.
• Analyse business performance and provide insights.
• Manage tax administration, including direct, indirect taxes and transfer pricing.
• Own regional processes against agreed KPIs.
• Design and maintain an effective internal control environment over reporting and finance processes.
• Lead sustainable changes in local finance processes and participate in regional/global initiatives.
• Liaise with auditors, consultants, regulators and the Inland Revenue Department.
• Prepare branch budget for ICAAP and other branch‑level MIS and analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance, preferably within banking.
• Member or passed finalist of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, ACCA qualification, or an accounting degree from a recognized university; MBA is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimise workflows.
