Senior AI Engineer – Generative AI & LLM Solutions

About the role

EY GDS is looking for a Senior AI Engineer to design and implement cutting‑edge generative AI solutions, including large language models (LLMs) and advanced machine‑learning pipelines. The role combines AI research, data engineering, and MLOps to deliver enterprise‑grade AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement state‑of‑the‑art AI models, focusing on LLMs, generative AI, and optimization techniques.
• Build end‑to‑end pipelines using Azure OpenAI, Hugging Face Transformers, vector databases (e.g., Redis) and NoSQL stores.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define AI project goals, evaluate emerging technologies, and ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical standards.
• Research and apply advanced methods such as transfer learning, domain adaptation, and model compression.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (Ph.D. a plus).
• 3–7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, and AI solution architecture.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical AI solutions.

• Programming: Python, R.
• Deep‑learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• NLP models: BERT, GPT, Transformer architectures.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• DevOps/MLOps tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Data engineering: Redis, NoSQL databases, large‑scale data preprocessing.
• Optimization: Mixed‑Integer Programming (MIP).
