Senior Accounts Executive – Remote UK Accounting Support

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Executive to provide remote accounting support to UK‑based accountancy practices from our Colombo office. You will work UK business hours, collaborating with teams to deliver accurate bookkeeping, VAT returns and month‑end reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Handle bookkeeping, VAT returns and bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers and perform period‑end tasks.
- Post period‑ending journals and prepare month‑end management accounts.
- Work with Xero and Dext cloud accounting platforms.
- Collaborate with UK teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- AAT qualified or part‑qualified (ICASL, ACCA, CIMA considered).
- Detail‑oriented, analytical and able to work independently.
- Team player comfortable with UK business hours.
