Senior Accounts Executive

About the role

Embla Software Innovations is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Executive to lead key accounting functions within its finance team. The role combines hands‑on accounting, audit support and process improvement in a fast‑growing international technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and authorize daily payment transactions in line with company policies and internal controls.
• Maintain and review accounting records, journal entries, invoices, receipts and other financial documentation.
• Monitor receivables, follow up with customers and ensure healthy cash flow.
• Support month‑end, year‑end and audit processes.
• Assist with budgeting, financial reporting and management reporting requirements.
• Ensure accounting records are audit‑ready and support process‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide financial and operational support to finance leadership and management.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; part qualification in CA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• 3‑5 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a senior accounts role.
• Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan accounting practices, taxation and financial compliance.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
