About the role
We are looking for an experienced and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and support effective financial decision‑making. The position is based in Colombo and is a full‑time role.
Key responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations and supervise junior accountants
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Handle general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Maintain internal controls and accounting systems
- Provide financial insights to management
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a senior role
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
