Search Engine Optimization Specialist

About the role

The Search Engine Optimization Specialist will join Home of Performance’s Sri Lanka office to design and execute data‑driven SEO strategies that boost organic visibility and traffic for client websites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and develop on‑page optimization plans.
• Perform technical SEO audits, identify issues, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Lead link‑building initiatives and monitor backlink profiles.
• Analyse website performance, track rankings and traffic, and produce regular SEO reports.
• Collaborate with content, design, development and performance‑marketing teams to implement SEO best practices.
• Stay updated on search engine algorithm changes and emerging optimization opportunities.
• Support broader performance‑marketing campaigns and align SEO activities with client business goals.

Required profile

• Strong background in keyword research, on‑page and technical SEO.
• Experience using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush or Ahrefs.
• Ability to analyse data, interpret metrics and present clear insights.
• Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS and website structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in performance marketing or agency settings is a plus.
