Sales Specialist – Automotive International Trade

About the role

The Sales Specialist will be based in Colombo and will own the end‑to‑end sales process for Japanese vehicles destined for African markets. You will prospect, qualify, present vehicle options, prepare quotations and close deals while working closely with inventory, logistics and documentation teams to ensure smooth transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential customers and regional distributors.
• Qualify leads, present product information and prepare accurate quotations.
• Negotiate terms, close sales and ensure timely delivery of vehicles.
• Coordinate with internal teams on inventory availability, shipping logistics and required documentation.
• Track sales performance, maintain CRM records and report on pipeline status.
• Support market development initiatives in targeted African regions.
• Participate in product training and stay updated on market trends.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Proven sales and sales‑management experience, preferably in automotive or B2B environments.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and work on‑site in Colombo.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with African markets and import/export procedures is a plus.
