Sales & Marketing Executive

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Executive to drive new business and maximise revenue for our hotel in Kandy. The role involves building relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators and event planners while promoting our rooms, restaurants and banquet facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business through sales calls and visits to corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators and event planners.
• Promote hotel rooms, restaurants, banquet facilities and other services to maximise sales and revenue.
• Handle banquet and event inquiries, prepare proposals, quotations, BEOs and function plans.
• Coordinate with Kitchen, Banquet Operations, Front Office and other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
• Manage room reservations, group bookings, VIP arrangements and guest inquiries.
• Maintain and optimise OTA platforms, including rates, inventory, content and guest reviews.
• Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to support revenue optimisation.
• Support marketing campaigns, social media activities and seasonal promotions.
• Prepare sales, marketing, reservation, revenue and performance reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel sales & marketing, preferably in a five‑star or luxury environment.
• Strong network among corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators and event planners is preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Professional marketing certification is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Familiarity with hotel reservation systems.
• Knowledge of OTA channel managers.
