Sales Executive – Fintech Payments

About the role

The Sales Executive will drive business growth by identifying prospective merchants, presenting Evopay’s payment solutions and closing new sales opportunities. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Colombo and involves managing the sales pipeline from prospecting to onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new merchant clients across various sectors.
• Conduct client meetings, product demonstrations and prepare tailored proposals.
• Negotiate terms, close sales and ensure smooth onboarding of merchants.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and gather market insights.
• Manage sales pipeline using CRM tools and produce regular sales reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven sales and business development abilities, including lead generation and closing techniques.
• Excellent customer relationship, stakeholder management, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Basic understanding of fintech, digital payments, POS systems and QR payment solutions.
• Organisational and reporting competence, with experience using CRM systems.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field; prior field‑sales or financial‑services experience preferred.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Colombo, meet sales targets and travel locally as needed.
• Proficiency in MS Office and other digital tools; strong command of English and local languages.
