Sales Assistant

About the role

Kamsins, a leading bridal fashion and lifestyle retailer in Colombo, is looking for a full‑time Sales Assistant to join its customer‑facing store. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, helping them find the right products and ensuring a welcoming shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their needs and provide product information and recommendations.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale system, process transactions accurately and handle returns or exchanges according to company policy.
• Organise merchandise, maintain clean and attractive displays, and monitor stock levels.
• Coordinate with team members on replenishment and stock ordering.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve concerns.
• Contribute to achieving individual and store sales targets.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Clear, professional communication abilities.
• Sales aptitude for upselling and cross‑selling.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.
• Prior experience in retail, fashion or a customer‑facing environment is preferred.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Colombo with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional sales or retail training is a plus.
