Retail Sales Executive

About the role

The Retail Sales Executive will join FITS Express in Colombo to deliver an outstanding customer experience while driving daily retail sales and shipment processing. You will act as the front‑line representative of UPS’s logistics solutions, helping walk‑in and prospective clients choose the right services.

Key responsibilities

• Support the day‑to‑day operation of the retail sales function.
• Provide professional, responsive service across all customer interactions.
• Handle escalated inquiries and resolve customer concerns effectively.
• Assist customers with service information, shipment requirements, pricing, and export documentation.
• Inspect and process shipments for export in line with company procedures and regulations.
• Promote UPS international courier and logistics solutions to walk‑in and prospective customers.
• Achieve individual and departmental sales and revenue targets consistently.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within approved guidelines.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or a similar customer‑facing role.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Experience in sales strategy, day‑to‑day operational coordination and problem‑solving.
• Target‑oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering results.
• Good computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
