Remote Bookkeeper (Full-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to join our fast‑growing, Toronto‑based marketing and technology firm. The role is fully remote and supports our restaurant clients across North America and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily bookkeeping records in Zoho Books following GAAP standards.
• Process vendor invoices, registrations, and generate customer invoices; manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform routine bank reconciliations and ensure completeness of financial records.
• Handle payroll, commissions, and expense processing accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare and file HST returns and compile monthly/periodic financial reports for compliance.
• Document additional financial information and perform ad‑hoc accounting tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in food/beverage, retail or tech.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoho Books (or willingness to learn quickly).
• Intermediate‑to‑advanced spreadsheet skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Solid understanding of general‑ledger accounting principles.
