Relationship Manager - SME (Southern Region)

About the role

The Relationship Manager - SME will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with small and medium-sized enterprises. This role involves understanding client needs, providing tailored financial solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction to drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the business with a high-quality portfolio of SME clients while achieving business targets, acquiring and onboarding new clients.
• Understand the client's business and financials and prepare quality appraisals in collaboration with Credit & Risk Management teams.
• Facilitate disbursements while coordinating with internal stakeholders and undertake post‑disbursement documentation.
• Cross‑sell various retail, payment solutions and liability products to capture the entire ecosystem of SME clients.
• Monitor client accounts and financial performance, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years' overall exposure in Relationship Management, preferably in the Banking/Financial industry, including at least 5 years as a Senior Relationship Officer or Assistant Relationship Manager.
• Thorough understanding of financial statements and ability to work with financial ratios.
• Expert knowledge of financial products.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with an outgoing personality.
• Higher level of computer literacy.
• Diploma in Banking, Credit Management or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
