Regional Sales Manager – Life Insurance

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead life‑insurance sales across an assigned region in Sri Lanka, based in Colombo. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on driving revenue, coaching sales teams and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop regional sales teams to meet and exceed targets.
• Set sales objectives, monitor performance and produce regular forecasts for senior management.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, distribution partners and key stakeholders.
• Analyse market trends, identify growth opportunities and coordinate regional marketing initiatives.
• Recruit, train and retain sales talent, fostering a culture of accountability and ethical conduct.

Required profile

• Proven sales leadership with experience setting targets and motivating teams.
• Strong background in business development and stakeholder engagement within financial services or insurance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Track record of coaching and developing sales professionals in a target‑driven environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field; insurance or sales qualifications are a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Colombo and travel within the region as needed.

Required skills

• Analytical and planning capabilities for market analysis, forecasting and territory planning.
• Understanding of life‑insurance products, regulatory requirements and industry practices in Sri Lanka.
