Quantity Surveyor – On-site (Sigiriya)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, on‑site Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Sigiriya. The role involves preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities, supporting cost planning and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on project drawings and specifications.
• Assist with cost planning, budgeting, forecasting and value engineering.
• Measure and value works, analyse project drawings and specifications.
• Prepare cost reports and monitor budgets against actual expenditures.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers and contractors, evaluate variations and support tender documentation.
• Participate in contract administration to ensure projects are delivered within budget and quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and measurement.
• Demonstrated experience in cost planning, cost management and cost control.
• Relevant academic qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or Cost Management (Diploma or Degree).
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in an on‑site environment.
