Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager will lead the QA/QC function for a reputable apparel manufacturing operation in Eheliyagoda, Sri Lanka. This senior role is responsible for ensuring that all garments – including crew necks, pants, jackets and sweaters – meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the QA/QC team and oversee all quality operations across cutting, sewing, finishing and packing.
• Ensure products comply with approved samples, specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor defect rates, rework, rejection and final inspection performance.
• Identify quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with Production, Technical, Merchandising and other departments to resolve quality concerns.
• Handle customer quality requirements, complaints and audit responses.
• Promote a strong quality culture and develop the QA team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Textile, Manufacturing, Quality Management or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in garment manufacturing with solid QA/QC background.
• Proven experience managing quality assurance teams and factory‑wide quality operations.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, measurements and production processes.
• Familiarity with crew necks, pants, jackets and sweaters is an advantage.
• Excellent leadership, problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Root‑cause analysis techniques.
