Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an analytical and collaborative Quality Assurance Engineer to join Mitra Innovation’s team supporting a leading banking client. In this role you will translate user stories and specifications into detailed test scenarios, execute a variety of test types and help surface design or requirement issues early in the development cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze user stories, use cases and requirements, and raise requirement bugs.
• Design and prepare test scenarios and test cases using appropriate test design techniques.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and manage test artefacts.
• Validate design specifications and report design defects.
• Execute functional, regression, integration and other test types as defined in the test strategy.
• Log defects, retest resolved issues and prepare comprehensive test reports.
• Provide daily status updates to the lead engineer and proactively escalate risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or IT (or equivalent).
• ISTQB Foundation certification (mandatory).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work with multiple testing assignments simultaneously.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
