Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Travcal is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its Colombo team. In this full-time, on-site position you will ensure the reliability and usability of the company’s travel-tech platform that connects destination management companies with travel agents.

Key responsibilities

• Review functional and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive manual test cases.
• Execute test plans, perform regression testing, and validate fixes before each release.
• Log defects, track their status, and work closely with developers and product owners to ensure timely resolution.
• Identify edge cases and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation.
• Maintain test artefacts and ensure they are up-to-date in the test management system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and spoken English and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with web-based applications, preferably in the travel-tech domain.
