Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Mitra Innovation is seeking a proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to support a high‑profile banking client. You will translate user stories and specifications into comprehensive test scenarios, execute multiple test types, and identify design or requirement issues early in the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze user stories, use cases, and requirements; raise requirement bugs.
• Create detailed test scenarios and test cases using established test design techniques.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to clarify requirements and manage test artifacts.
• Validate design specifications and report design defects.
• Execute functional, regression, and other test types according to the test strategy.
• Log defects, retest fixes, and maintain clear testing reports.
• Provide daily status updates to the lead engineer and proactively escalate risks, issues, and dependencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or IT.
• ISTQB Foundation certification (mandatory).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work with multiple testing assignments simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills with diverse project stakeholders.
