Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Gallagher, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our insurance and risk‑management systems. Working from our Colombo office in a hybrid model, you will collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and business users to deliver robust testing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements to identify test scenarios and data.
• Design and execute functional, regression, and system test cases.
• Log and track defects using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless integration.
• Investigate operational incidents and recommend process improvements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and methodologies.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of manual testing concepts, testing types, and test levels.
• Experience in system and integration testing across multiple platforms.
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or Cucumber.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java.Net, or JavaScript.
• Proficiency with project management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (ISTQB certification a plus).
