Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Mitra Innovation is seeking a collaborative Quality Assurance Engineer to support a high‑profile banking client. The role focuses on translating user stories and specifications into comprehensive test scenarios, executing a variety of test types, and identifying design or requirement issues early in the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze user stories, use cases, and requirements; raise requirement bugs.
• Create detailed test scenarios and test cases using established test design techniques.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and manage test artefacts.
• Validate design specifications and report design bugs.
• Execute functional, regression, and other test types as defined in the test strategy.
• Report defects, retest resolved issues, and maintain testing documentation.
• Provide daily status updates to the lead engineer and proactively escalate risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or IT.
• ISTQB Foundation certification (mandatory).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work with multiple testing assignments simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills with diverse project stakeholders.
