QA Manager - Tyre Manufacturing

About the role

A leading solid tyre manufacturer is seeking an experienced and technically strong Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA & QC function within its solid tyre manufacturing plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall Quality Assurance & Quality Control function of the solid tyre manufacturing plant.
• Develop, implement and maintain QA/QC systems, procedures, standards and inspection protocols.
• Establish quality standards for raw materials, in‑process production and finished solid tyres.
• Monitor and control critical quality parameters throughout the manufacturing process.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Analyze production defects, rejection rates, rework and customer complaints and drive continuous improvement.
• Establish and monitor Quality KPIs and prepare periodic quality performance reports.
• Work closely with Production, R&D, Engineering, Stores and Procurement teams to resolve quality‑related issues.
• Develop and implement Quality Control Plans, SOPs, inspection standards and check sheets.
• Conduct regular process, product and system audits and ensure proper calibration of testing equipment.

Required profile

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Quality Management, Polymer/Rubber Technology, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in rubber products, tyre manufacturing, solid tyres or related polymer manufacturing is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, process control, RCA, CAPA and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Practical experience in quality inspection, testing and defect analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team and work effectively with cross‑functional departments.
• Good knowledge of Excel, quality reporting and data analysis.
