About the role
The COO Transformation Office is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate COO‑led transformation initiatives across Global Operations, Stations and Product teams in Colombo. The role translates strategic objectives into detailed, trackable project plans and ensures alignment across multiple functions.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate COO‑led transformation projects across Global Operations, Stations, and Product teams.
- Translate strategic initiatives into structured project plans with clear ownership, milestones and deliverables.
- Support project governance by tracking action items, decisions and follow‑ups from COO‑led meetings.
- Develop and maintain timelines, milestone trackers and planning calendars.
- Gather status updates from project owners and stakeholders to keep timelines current.
- Organise cross‑functional planning meetings and maintain project calendars.
- Monitor risks, delays and dependencies, escalating issues as needed.
- Maintain a central risk and issue log and track resolution status.
- Validate reported progress with stakeholders and identify early blockers.
- Prepare dashboards and status reports to provide visibility across the network.
- Create and maintain a central project tracker covering status, ownership, timelines, milestones and key risks.
- Provide coordination support across the COO Transformation Office and perform other duties assigned by the Global COO.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience or internship exposure in project coordination, corporate planning, financial analysis or a similar cross‑functional role.
- Professional certification in progress (e.g., PMP or SCM/Logistics qualification) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, research and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Highly organised, self‑motivated and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with data visualisation or dashboard tools.
- Familiarity with project tracking and risk‑issue log management.
