Program Trainer II

About the role

We are seeking a passionate learning and development professional to support frontline staff and partner organisations across Northern Sri Lanka. The role involves delivering engaging training, coaching and facilitating practical skill‑building to improve community outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess learning and development needs and identify skills gaps.
• Adapt existing training materials for local relevance and practicality.
• Facilitate classroom, workshop and virtual learning sessions using adult learning techniques.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to help learners apply new skills.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and cross‑functional teams to strengthen learning initiatives.
• Coordinate training logistics and ensure smooth execution of learning events.
• Collect and analyse participant feedback and learning data to measure effectiveness.
• Prepare reports on training participation, completion rates and learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, HR, Community Development, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in training, facilitation, learning and development or capacity building.
• Proven experience conducting learning needs assessments and delivering training programs.
• Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills.
• Experience coaching and mentoring individuals to improve performance.
• Ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in Tamil and good working knowledge of English.
