Procurement Executive

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Procurement Executive to manage end‑to‑end purchasing activities for a leading FMCG manufacturer in Gampaha. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle from supplier identification to purchase order issuance and delivery.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to secure competitive pricing, quality and reliable delivery.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times and other commercial conditions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Monitor inventory needs and coordinate with internal departments to guarantee material availability.
• Obtain quotations, compare offers and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality and delivery.
• Prepare and process purchase orders while maintaining accurate procurement records.
• Track supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery or quality.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives and continuously improve procurement efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or related field.
• 2–4 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
